Breaking news out of SeaTac airport earlier this week after a baggage worker at the airport fell asleep in the cargo hold of an Alaska Airlines 737.

The man obviously panicked as he woke to find himself aloft. Despite the fact the the hold is temperature controlled and filled with breathable oxygen, he still banged loudly enough to get the pilot to turn it around from flying down to LA and back to Seattle.

The man called Valley Comm’s 911 center.

Cargo Hold Guy: Hello, I’m trapped in this plane, and I called my job, but I’m in this plane.”

Dispatcher:”You’re where?”

Cargo Hold Guy:”I’m inside a plane and it feels like it’s moving in the air. Flight 448. Can you please tell someone to stop it?”

Dispatcher: “Where are you in a plane at?”

Cargo Hold Guy:”Inside a plane. Alaska Airlines Flight 448!”

Dispatcher: “Are you at the airport?”

The connection breaks up, but it sounds like our napper is now screaming. Can’t blame him.

The dispatcher tried to call back but she couldn’t connect.
